🚜 H.P. Nanda's company and its connections with Poland

  • H.P. Nanda and the Escorts Group: Har Prasad Nanda (1917-1999) was an influential Indian industrialist who, together with his brother, founded Escorts Agents Ltd. in 1944. Thanks to his vision, the company became one of the leading Indian manufacturers of tractors and agricultural equipment.

  • Tractor production: The agricultural division of Escorts began tractor production in 1961. The company owned and still owns a factory in Mrągowo in Poland, which it acquired in 2000 from Pol-Mot. This confirms the existence of real business connections between Nanda's enterprise and Poland.
