Antyczny wazonik japoński z żaglowcem - ręcznie malowany, okupacja USA, IE & Co Japan
€29.66
Exceptional, collectible vase from the post-war period of Japan's occupation by the United States. This unique item is a testament to a particular moment in history when Japanese craftsmen produced goods for export, often combining traditional techniques with new influences.

The vase is made in an extremely rare, round form with a characteristic double spout (two spouts), giving it a unique, decorative character. Its main ornament is a precisely, hand-painted sailing ship, whose details – from the rigging lines to the waves – testify to the artist's high skill. The painting is in a subdued, elegant color scheme typical of Japanese ceramics of this period.

On the bottom of the vessel is the manufacturer's mark "IE & Co Japan", which is characteristic of export items from the 1940s and 1950s. Such items, often referred to as "Occupied Japan," are today sought after by collectors worldwide, constituting a material record of history and cultural encounter.

This vase is not only a beautiful decorative object but also a valuable historical artifact. It will work perfectly as a centerpiece in a collection of Asian ceramics, maritime items, or post-war objects. Its state of preservation, clear signature, and rare form determine its high collectible value.
